Green Hydrogen -
the future of energy

India has emerged as a gobal leader in climate change. As the world’s third biggest emitter, it is now making visible efforts to reduce global warming, and remains committed to substantially reducing its carbon footprint in the future.

The announcement of National Hydrogen Energy Mission in the Union Budget of India 2021-22 is an indication of India's potential in building capacity to become the cheapest hydrogen producer in the world by 2050. This summit is a step forward in the mission and aims to meet climate challenges through a consolidated approach and timely interventions.

Why is the summit important?

International Climate Summit 2023 assumes significance as it is poised to be the gateway to New Delhi, from 14th – 15th September 2023, where a number of world leaders will come together to arrive at a consensus in matters pertaining to climate change and sustainability.

ICS 2023 will bring together eminent speakers, academicians, industry experts and policy makers from across the globe for sessions and discussions on hydrogen and its use as a promising source of energy. The summit is a timely endeavor that will send a positive message to the whole nation regarding the climate change.

The Govt. of India has already announced the National Hydrogen Energy Mission that sets out the road map for hydrogen centric policies and regulations. Scientists and industries across India have undertaken several projects, research & development in the entire value chain of hydrogen. With the cost of renewable energy in India being the least in the world, hydrogen energy will be both economically and technically viable in the near future.
